The 2016 Season of the Formula SimRacing World Championship is the 16th season of the prestigious championship.
Of note, 2015 Constructors' Champions Twister 2 Fast 4 You are absent from the championship, as well as Precision Motorsports. Bono Huis and Morgan Morand have also extended their sabbatical. Defending Drivers' Champion Petar Brljak fills a part-time role at both Twister Racing and Musto Racing teams.

Team Changes
- Precision Motorsports loaned its license to VBMadCape.
- GhostSpeed Engineering races under the Ash Racing license.
- Scuderia Basilea buys the Faster-Than-Speed license. They later loan the license to Brehm GP.
